Nuke Ambassadors

Nuke Sunrise bikepacking ambassadors are dedicated bikepackers who love sharing their knowledge and skills related to the gear, techniques, and routes.  Ambassadors lead "101" type adventures throughout the year, ensuring that all participants have a great time in hopes that they too will go on to share their knowledge with other riders.  If you would be interested in becoming a Nuke Sunrise bikepacking ambassador, contact Dave at bigdave@nukesunrise.com.

David McDonnell - Andover, KS

A long time Nuke customer....purchasing one of our first "klunker" frame bags for the annual Pearl Pass Tour, David leads group bikepacking outings on the prairie lands with fun activities like carving your own spoon.  His 1936 Schwinn got him into bikepacking and now he's got a Mone Bikes La Roca, retiring the coaster brake equipped Schwinn after completing the 550 mile Cannonball.  David teaches classes at local shops where people can learn how to transform the bike they currently own into a bikepacking bike.  With many miles of backroad gravel, adventures start from local shops.

The annual Spoon Ride is growing in popularity and you can find out more about it on Instagram @spring.solstice.spoon.swap
David himself is @im.riding.my.bike
